Healthy Moms and Babies

Amanda

“I want my baby’s life to be better than my own.”

The Corner Health Center, a United Way funded agency, helped Amanda Grove give birth to a healthy baby girl. The Corner helped Amanda leave her life on the streets and get pre-natal care, health insurance, a place to live and adequate nutrition for herself and her baby. Now she is working and making a home for herself and Ayla. With The Corner’s help, Amanda says, “I just want to keep up the good work. I want my child’s life to be better than mine.”

Thanks to your gift to United Way, The Corner Health Center helps about 100 young women like Amanda turn their lives around each year. Last year, the Corner saw young people and their babies in 7,290 patient visits.
