Dawn Farm helped over 1,000 people break free of the downward spiral of drug and alcohol addiction.
The American Red Cross,Washtenaw County Chapter, taught life-saving skills to employees at147 corporations and schools.
The American Red Cross,Washtenaw County Chapter,responded to 63 local disasters and helped 120 local families make their homes habitable again.
The SafeHouse Center helped 80 families and individuals with housing, education, child care, credit, transportation and employment costs.
The SafeHouse Center provided 16,000 shelter nights and40,000 meals to 200 adults and 200 children.
The Salvation Army’s Ypsilanti Corps served more than17,000 meals.
The Salvation Army provided financial assistance to 475 families, many with overdue utility bills of $1,000 or more.
The Housing Crisis Services Team at
SOS Community Services kept 780families in their homes, avoiding eviction with direct financial help.
Prospect Place Family Shelter at SOS Community Servicesprovided 12,000 shelter/nights to 22 homeless families (including 74children).
In the Families Forward program,sponsored by SOS Community Services, 12 adults achieved their GEDs, 16 adults attended college or post- high school classes and two graduated with bachelor’s degrees.
Time for Tots, the SOS Community Services’day care center in Ann Arbor, served 44 children from 29 families,giving their parents the chance to seek job training and jobs. |
