Our Partners

Our Partner agencies are at the heart of the work that we do. United Way of Washtenaw County supplies much of the needed financial resources agencies need to provide critical services to Washtenaw County residents.

Through focusing on the building blocks for a good life – education, income and health – United Way of Washtenaw County and our partner agencies establish a long-term commitment to creating lasting change.

Our partners know that what we are judged on is results: the tangible and quantifiable impact we make day after day. Their long-term commitments are essential to addressing key social issues, such as helping children and youth achieve their potential; promoting financial stability and independence; and improving people’s health.

We support over 50 health and human service programs at 35 partner agencies through a volunteer lead community investment allocation process. All agencies are local and serve the residents of Washtenaw County. These agencies are reviewed annually to ensure that donations are used in the most effective way possible and create measurable results in the lives of the people they serve.

Partner agencies may receive funding through the community investment allocation process and designated gifts. Funds provided through the community investment allocations process must be used for the purpose and program as determined by United Way volunteers. Designated gifts may be used at the discretion of the agency.
